Trip to the Zoo!

The girls and I went to the Zoo with our friends Jennie and Blake. We had lots of fun and the kids enjoyed it. I haven't bought a double stroller yet and was nerves about letting Kylie walk the whole time, but she did really well. At the end when we had about 20 minutes left she decided that she was done. I carried Lexi in the baby bjorn and pushed Kylie up the hills in the stroller. It was a good workout for me! I am just glad I didn't have to do that the whole time we were at the zoo!

Our Troubling Tub!

So we have had our house now for just over a year. Well, our one year warranty on our home ended in May and of course by this time most of the glitches in a new house are typically taken care of.....right? To give you a little background on the situation, right before Lexi was born last November I was cleaning the tub and noticed that there were some small hairline cracks in the base of it. So I called the builder and had a repair guy come out to fix it......or so I thought that was what he came to do. When he was done it looked like he had just painted over the cracks and called it good. It wasn't but a few weeks later and the tub had new cracks in it and the old ones were surprisingly back. Anyway, we called the builder again and finally got someone (who knew what he was doing) to repair the cracks in the tub. Ok, so that was around November and December of last year. We had not had any problems with the tub since, until last Friday. I was scrubbing the side of the tub when all of the sudden it made a cracking noise. I look down to see a small crack in the side of it. I am thinking oh great! Not again! I lightly tap on the crack (and I mean lightly) when all of the sudden my finger is now in the side of the tub. I was freaking out! Warranty expired and now I have a hole in the side of my tub! I called the builder in great frustration! Due to the previous problems she sent a repair guy to see if it is one of the spots that they had fixed (which it wasn't). Anyway, he came today and fixed it and said it was some kind of air pocket that was pretty rare. I don't know if I believe him or know how long it will be until I get another one of these rare air pockets. I am just glad that I didn't have to have my tub replaced or pay for the repair, at least for now!

#4 So you may be wondering why I have posted pictures of Kylie's coloring pages. Well we have discovered a new talent. The first picture is how Kylie has always colored, up until this last Saturday. In fact she actually colored that picture on Saturday. The second picture she colored also on Saturday with Derek's help outlining the section she was to color. And the last two pictures she colored yesterday and today. Kylie went from scribbling to almost completely staying in the lines withing a few days. She definitely has her Dad's genes.

Out to see the Fish!

Well life is still pretty crazy for us, but we found some time to get out with the kids to the fish hatchery and play. My sister and brother and their families have all been in town recently and so we have been trying to get out and spend some time with them. Last week we went up the the Columbia Gorge for the day. It was pretty hot! We had 11 children and 8 adults and hiked up to the first bridge at Multnomah Falls then we headed to the fish hatchery. The kids loved it especially Kylie who tried to climb into one of the fountains and swim with the fish statues. We had a lot of fun spending time with family!

My Baby is Growing UP!

So in just about a week Lexi has learned to sit up, she has stopped nursing, and now sleeps in her sisters room in her own crib. I am losing my baby! I guess I cannot complain about the sleeping thing since she is now sleeping 12 hours at night!

We have been home from Grandma's house for over a week now and Kylie is still asking to go back to Grandma's house and go swimming. We had a lot of fun as you can see. Kylie got pretty good at swimming with her turtle floaties on.
